Katy is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Patricia Toole, and her beloved husband, Robert E. Anderson, and siblings Lawrence Jr. (Larry) and Maureen. Katy is survived by her children Rebecca and Damon (Erin), and grandchildren Patrick, Kyra, Nicole, Cassandra, Robert, Kellan, and Molly. Katy will be missed and fondly remembered by her sister Eileen, sister-in-law Marcia, her many nieces and nephews, her best friends Roy and Judy Auelua, Ernie and Blessie Lascola, and countless friends alike. She will also be fondly remembered by her longtime church home, Holy Family Catholic Church in San Jose, California, where she served her Lord and community for over forty years.
Katy never met a stranger and spent her free time helping others and volunteering her time for various community activities. She was a passionate maestro in the kitchen, loved animals, and was keen to travel. She will be fondly remembered as the Hostest with the Mostest.
We thank the caring staff and support from Sunrise of Jacksonville. We are so grateful for the extra time we were afforded with Katy. Our hearts are heavy and words cannot put into perspective the magnitude of our loss.
A visitation for Kathleen will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, followed by a memorial service starting at 2:00.Please commemorate Katy with a favorite memory.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you hug your loved ones a little closer and perform a random act of kindness to share Katy’s spirit with others. Donations to the Pastoral Care Team at Holy Family Church, in San Jose, California, would also be appreciated.
