Julia P. Schmidt, 83 of Jacksonville passed away on June 2, 2013. Julia is preceded by her parents; Pearl Weyart and Wellington T. Watson of Maryland. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Julia retired from Cleaners Hangers and also was a member of the Steel Workers Union. She is survived by sons; Dean Magee and Richard Schmidt, daughters; Linda Fiske (David) and Judy Schmidt, sister; Norma Munderville, three grandchildren; Joey Dennard (Wendy), Shane Schmidt, and Justin Fiske, five great-grandchildren; Abigail Fiske, Joey Dennard, Jr., Alison Schmidt, Madison Schmidt and Maranna Dennard, and many beloved friends. Julia will be remembered for her love of family, hard work ethic, and kind heart. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax. FL 32205. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00 am. Pastor Donnie Miles officiating.
