Joyce Haddock Sheffield, age 84, passed away Sunday June 21, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on September 25, 1930 in Jacksonville, Florida to Hubert Ellis and Elizabeth (Wilsie) Haddock. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Ina and Betty. Joyce enjoyed spending many hours with her children and grandchildren, as well as bowling and water skiing. When her children were in school she would volunteer as a room Mother and would go on field trips with them and help the teacher with daily learning. Joyce leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 64 years, George Sheffield; sons Larry Sheffield and David Sheffield; daughter Linda Carter (Billy); grandchildren Tracy Cruce (John), Christopher Sheffield, Tasha Sheffield, and Tiffani Moyer (Jay); and great grandchildren Kadence, Baylie, and Jace. Family will receive family and friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Riverside Memorial Park.
