Joyce P. Gibson, 89 years old, passed away December 5, 2021 unexpectedly. Born July 12, 1932 in Watertown, FL, passed member of Cedar Hills Baptist Chur. She was a loving mom, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Loved her family, always willing to help whoever needed anything and never thought of herself first. She owned her hair salon for 20 years and then retired. When able she enjoyed baking, gardening and crocheting and of course her coffee.
She is survived by 4 children Candy Merson (Gene), John Windhaus (Joan), Cindy Varnom and Stewart Windhaus; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Ray and Cliff; 3 step-children Mike, Pam and Timothy; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband Earl Gibson and 2 sisters Violet and Beverly; and parents Catherine Slocum and Ray Langford.
A visitation for Joyce will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed by a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
