Joyce Marie (Combs) Cowart

Joyce Marie (Combs) Cowart, devoted wife and mother, left us to be with her Savior on December 26, 2019. We have no doubt our Daddy was waiting for her and the angels were singing. She was affectionately known as “Nana” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joyce was born on September 18th, 1930 in Jacksonville, Fl. She was preceded in death by her husband H.G. Cowart (Papa to family), father and mother (Forest & Minnie Combs) and brother (George Combs)

Nana is survived by her three children Brenda Driggers (Ron), Johnny Cowart and Robin Jackson (Colby), seven grandchildren, Jenni, Ben, Kim, Lauren, Elizabeth, Ryan and Matt. Eleven great grandchildren, Ayden, Kendyl, Parker, Isabel, Sophia, Liam, Connor, Rylee, Reese, Drake and Haleigh, Two brothers James Combs (Ann) and Lewis Combs (Camile).

Our family thanks all the staff at The Legacy at St. Johns for the care, love and devotion they showed for “Miss Joyce” over the last year. We also wish to thank Community Hospice. A special thank you to Robyn of hospice for her kindness in staying with Nana on Christmas day so we could take a few hours to celebrate Christmas.
