Joyce Chastain

Joyce Chastain was a treasured wife, mother, and grandmother. She was embraced by her Heavenly Father on April 12, 2023, surrounded by her family. Joyce cared for, loved, and protected her family until her final breath.

Joyce was born in Thomasville, Georgia on February 17, 1936. Soon after graduating high school, she met her husband Ted. Together they had three children: Steve, Debbie, and Patti. Ted and Joyce celebrated sixty-eight joyful years married.

Joyce loved spending time traveling, crafting, and singing, but her most cherished past times were spent with her family. She loved fiercely and faced every challenge head-on in prayer.

She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her husband, Ted; son, Steve (Carol); daughters Debbie (David) and Patti (Mark); six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Joyce's life will be celebrated on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 at noon. Family will receive friends one hour prior at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park following the funeral service in the chapel.
