Jo was absolutely one of the best employees Independent Life ever had. She was so sweet and positive about everything. Jo sewed the most gorgeous outfits for our Annual Doll Show which benefited the Salvation Army. She won many ribbons and encouraged others to participate. The Christmas stocking that she made for me as a little girl still hangs on my fireplace mantle each year reminding me of a very, very special woman that I will always remember fondly. Rest in Peace Jo - you so deserve it.

Jo and Gene both meant so much to me and were the absolute best God parents anyone could ever ask for. Jo did so much for me and I have so many beautiful childhood memories thanks to her. From the amazing clothes she used to make for me, to the special Friday nights at their house-where I got an ice cold Coke while they played bridge, to the special visits to Independent Life, and lunch downtown, where I was made to feel all grown up -it was all just magical.
