Joseph (Joe) John Sturm, Jr., died peacefully on February 27, 2020. He was a native of Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Joseph John Sturm, Sr., and Ruth (Huffman) Sturm. He was employed by Heil Quaker for almost 20 years beginning in Milwaukee, WI and then in Lewisburg, TN. Joe retired from owning his own computer software sales business, Computer Facts in Dallas, TX and remained in Corinth for 35 years. He moved to Jacksonville, FL 18 months ago to be near 2 of his children. Joe was a trained classical pianist and enjoyed all types of music, especially the symphony. He was an antique car enthusiast and lifelong member of the Catholic Church. Joe was active in the Lions Club and Knights of Columbus for many years. He volunteered with many organizations over the years but the ones that he loved and logged the most hours with are Medical City Denton, SCORE, and the Planning and Zoning Board in Corinth, TX.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Clo Sturm, and a daughter, Mary Louise Sturm. He is survived by one brother, David (Ginny) Sturm of Plano, TX, one son, Joe (Pat) Sturm, III of Clarks Hill, IN, four daughters, Camille Ott and Diane (Carl) Rogers of Jacksonville, FL, Patty (Tom) Robertson, Spring Hill, TN, and Jacque (Lorun) Kilpatrick of Bedford, TX, as well as 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 25th at 11 am at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel ~ Taylor Hall, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL with a future inurnment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI.
