Joseph Anthony Portelli

Age 94 | 1924 – 2019

Joseph was born in Paterson New Jersey on October 4, 1924. He served as a Sergeant in the Army Air Corp in World War II for 4 years. He attended Montclair State College and received his Bachelors degree. He was married to the love of his life Rose for 61 years until she passed away in 2013. He worked for Singer Kearfott for over 30 years. He moved to Jacksonville Florida after Rose’s passing and continued his incredible life until he passed away under Hospice care on July 22, 2019 at the age of 94. He is survived by his 2 loving sons: Tom Portelli and his wife Jennifer and their 2 sons Kyle and Connor Joe Portelli and his wife Cheryl and their son Steven

Joseph was great son, devoted husband, loving father, special grandfather and a great friend to many. He was respected and beloved by many and will be missed .

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1st with Vigil Prayers at 5:00 p.m. in McCracken Funeral Home, located at 1500 Morris Ave. Union, New Jersey 07083. A Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 2nd in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, 200 McLean Blvd, Paterson, New Jersey, with Father Daniel Grigassy officiating
