Joseph Anthony Montanez

Joseph Anthony Montanez, age 70, of Saint Johns, passed away on December 21, 2015. He was born May 18, 1945 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, the son of Jose and Maximina Montanez. Joseph was employed as a Public Safety Officer for New York State, before relocating to Florida. He is survived by his loving wife, Edith; four children, James, Tina, Brandon and Jennifer and eight grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 24 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon on Monday, December 28 in Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapel, 114-03 Queens Blvd. Forest Hills, NY. Burial with Military Honors will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, December 28 in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
