Joseph Carl Elias Jr.

Joseph Carl Elias Jr., 83 years old, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Baptist Medical Center South, surrounded by his family. Joseph was a graduate of Valparaiso University with a degree in Business. After graduation he joined the Army to serve his country. Following his discharge from the Army, he began his work career with A. C. Nielsen, a market research company. He served as an Account Executive with Nielsen in the food and drug index working with clients providing sales and market trends. Upon retirement he spend time golfing, traveling and spending time with his family.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father Joseph Sr, his mother Marjorie, and two brothers, Thomas and Paul. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judith, his son Dr. Brad Elias, Medical Director for Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, two grandsons Josh and Bradley, students at the University of Florida, and a brother Daniel.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223.

A memorial service will occur Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home.
