Joe, a 2011 graduate of Bartram Trail High School, had recently completed his first year at Santa Fe College with ambitions to transfer to University of Florida to study Sports Medicine. Joe had an extreme passion for life, loving everyone and everything that surrounded him. Some of his fondest accomplishments included baseball, football, and wresting at the varsity level, lettering in all three sports. Joe had a keen sense of devotion toward his family and friends and touched the hearts of many, especially through his contagious smile and loving heart.
Joseph is survived by his father, Scott Davidson, mother, Cammie Davidson, and younger brother, Andrew Davidson of St. Johns, FL, his maternal grandmother Carol Garrett, of Jacksonville, FL, and paternal grandmother Eleanor Davidson of Orange Park. FL. Other survivors include his Uncle and Aunt, Edwin and Sarah Herrin and cousins, Baker and Parker Herrin, of St. Johns, FL. Aunt Glenda Edwards and cousins Elizabeth Lopez & David Edwards of Augusta, GA., Uncle and Aunt, Christ and Susan Fogarty, and cousins Nicholas and Kelsey of Middleburg, FL. Uncle and Aunt, David and Judy Busch and cousin Ellie Busch of Atlanta, GA., Uncle and Aunt, Tom and Debbie Casebier and cousins Matt, Ryan, Michael and Riley Casebier of San Diego, CA., Uncle and Aunt, Michael and Lee Davidson and cousins Chris and Jeffrey Davidson of South Weymouth, MA, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 10, between 5pm – 8pm in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2:00 pm, at the Fruit Cove Baptist Church at 501 State Road 13. Reception will be held at the church immediately following service. Flowers will be received at the funeral home; however memorial donations can be made to the “Joe Davidson Memorial/Field of Dreams” fund at any Atlantic Coast Bank.
