She was a woman of faith whose greatest legacy is leading others to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. She worked as an activity aide in the healthcare field and had a passion for gardening, sewing, crocheting and singing.
Josie, as known by family and friends, is survived by husband of 60 years, Bernardino Garcia; children Jorge and Liza Garcia, Jenevieve and Tom Conger, Jeraldin and Knanet Santos, Jonilyn Trinidad and Malou Intal, Jeremias and Princess Garcia, Jonathan and Luvy Garcia; grandchildren Rehmar and Missy Valencia, Mherdelyn Valencia, Mharvin Valencia and Reba Michael (engaged), Jerrald and May Santos, Kenneth Santos, Mica and Niles Marfori, Arcadio King Trinidad, Bernard Seth Garcia, Jhovin Hazel and Harvey Manio, Jaimee Anne Garcia and Kleo Reyes (engaged), Jazmine Kim Garcia, Jayvee Michaela Garcia; great-grandchildren Mackenzie Burgess, Dominic Trey Valencia, Nathan Cole Valencia, Kyrie Steven Manio and brother Romeo Gumila of Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Please join our Celebration of Life with a Visitation to be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
