Johnnie W. Chapman Jr, age 76, passed away Saturday October 17, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on April 9, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida to Johnnie W. and Eva (Higginbothom) Chapman Sr. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents,his wife of 54 years Doris Chapman, son Kenny Chapman, one sister Linda, and one brother Teddy. He was a member of West Jacksonville Baptist Church and IBEW. Johnnie was a veteran of the United States Army. Johnnie will be missed dearly by his sons Jon Chapman and Wade Chapman (Robin); daughter Joannie Connell; daughter-in-law Debbie Chapman; brothers Ray, Hubert, James and Kyle; sisters Caroline , Shirley, and Ann; fourteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Family will receive family and friends 10:00 – 11:00 am Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at West Jacksonville Baptist Church, 5634 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow services at Riverside Memorial Park.
