John Herman Kaufmann

John is survived by his beloved wife, Lucy Dubberly Kaufmann, his daughter Kristine Sanchez & her husband Pablo, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and his stepdaughter Pamela & husband Kevin. He also leaves behind his sister, Marie Kaufmann Rose.

John is predeceased by his mother, Lucille Samuelson Kaufmann, and his father, Herman Kaufmann.

John enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after completing high school in 1954, where he served honorably for four years. Upon discharge, he completed his college education, graduating from the University of Miami with honors. He loved working as a teacher of mathematics, and ESL for Spanish-speaking students. He then began his career in construction and consulting. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 32, as well as the International Sheet Metal Workers Union.

A committal service with military honors will be held for John on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
