as a devoted Christian, and member of Ortega United Methodist Church. He was a Master Mason, member of the Scottish Rite, and was also a Shriner. John is walking in eternal peace with his Lord and
Savior. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. John will be be
deeply missed.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John Van and Emma R. Fulcher; and his sisters Mary Mason
and Erma Joyce. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elva Fulcher; his daughters Donna Umstattd,
Dianne ( Teddy) Maybrier, and Debra ( Robert) Cleland; his son, Mason ( Kim) Fulcher; grandchildren
Matthew ( Cindy), Ashton ( Kody), Wyatt, Jacob, and Noah; great-granddaughter, Madysen; and his little
Chihuahua, Buddy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the chapel of Ortega United Methodist
Church, 4807 Roosevelt Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida, 32210 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A
Masonic Service will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church. A graveside service will
follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Boulevard, Orange Park, Florida 32073 at 1:00
p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be designated to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
