John “Buddy” Robert Edwards JR, 72 years old, passed away October 15th, 2013 in Clay County. Buddy was loved by his Mother and Family. He grew up in the Paxon area and later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After his enlistment, he returned home to pursue his passion for racing and was active volunteering in the community with the Shriners. Buddy is predeceased by his Mother; Gladys Howell and her husband; Eddie Howell, his Father; John Robert Edwards Sr., and his Brother; Ronald Wayne Edwards. He is survived by his Sister Christeen (Buster) King, Brothers; Marlyn and Bobby Edwards, his Daughters; Teressa Fichter and Gina (Morris) Moran, and his Son; Jason Edwards. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax. FL 32205. A public visitation will be held, Friday October 18, 2013 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM Saturday and interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
