John Dorancricchio, beloved husband, grandfather and friend, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 25. John was born on June 15, 1934 in Madison, IL. He served his country with honor in the United States Army from 1957 to 1963 and resided afterwards in Granite City, IL. John married the love of his life Sally in 1973 and relocated to Jacksonville shortly afterwards. John dedicated his life to his wife and grandchildren. He was an active member of New Life at Park Street Church in Jacksonville since 1975, serving as an Elder, Sunday School Teacher and on the Board of Trustees. John was most recently employed as a Production Manager at Vac-Con, Inc. in Green Cove Springs where he worked for 24 years. John follows to Heaven his wife Sarah to whom he was married for 39 years. He was also preceded in death by his sister Marie Bojorquez. John is survived by his sister Catherine (Kay) Rendon of Hampton, VA., and granddaughter Kimberly Collins (Carl), grandson Anthony Littlefield and granddaughter Angela Pedigo, all of Jacksonville. John was proud great-grandfather to Johnathan Collins, Antoinette (Toni) Littlefield, and David and Daniel Dorancricchio; great-great-grandfather to Emma Dorancricchio, David Dorancricchio II and Sophia Stilwell; and Uncle to Concetta, Michael and Rick Rendon and Lupita Fowler. Friends are invited to visit with John’s family on Thursday evening, May 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Town and Country Funeral Home on Normandy Blvd. A celebration of John’s life will take place on Friday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life at Park Street Church followed by a graveside service at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name to New Life at Park Street Church.
