John M. “Jack” Busby, 84, passed away on March 1, 2015. He was born Jan. 15, 1931 in Paisley, FL to the late FJ and Cynthia Busby. He graduated from Orlando High School and attended the University of Florida until he enlisted in the US Navy to fight in the Korean War. Upon honorable discharge, he started several successful business’ in insurance and real estate. He loved his family, his friends, and his Florida Gators.
He was predeceased by brothers, Joe and Jim and grandson, Major B. Harding III. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis; daughter, Liz Harding (Major); grandchildren, John, Kyle (Erica), and Katherine Harding; mother in law, Matha Denson, and many in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held at Mandarin Cemetery at 1:00pm on March 14, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Jack’s honor be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
