Jewel Burnett Suber, 83, passed away June 26, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Suber was born in Sanderson, Florida but moved to Jacksonville in 1944 with her family. She was a member of Highlands Baptist Church, a member of the Soulangeana Circle of the Garden Club of Jacksonville, a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Riverview Lodge and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. Mrs. Suber was predeceased by her husband James, L, Suber Sr., parents, Charlie and Ola Bell Burnett and brother Mac Burnett. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Suber Ellis, son Jim Suber (Kathy), grandchildren, Jamey Suber (Courtney), Jennifer Ellis, Stacy Dahlgren (Paul), Angie Winter (Joseph), nine great grandchildren and sisters Bonnie Mikell (D.C.) and Doris Kidd (Curtis). Pall bearers will be her grandsons and nephews, Jamey Suber, Joseph Winter, Jason Stanton, Paul Dahlgren, Artie Burnett, Joel Burnett and Richard Kidd Sr. Honorary pall bearers are Danny Mikell and Benjamin Kidd.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax. FL 32205. A public visitation will be held, Monday July 1, 2013 from 9:00 – 11:00 am. Followed immediately by a Funeral service at 11 am and interment at Riverside Memorial Park, Rev. Clarence Jarrell officiating.
