Jennifer L. Flanagan

Jennifer Lea Flanagan, 61, passed peacefully at home while surrounded by family on April 9th, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on October 22, 1963 in Lexington, KY to her parents, Robert and Patricia West.

She had an affection for all four seasons of the year. In the Spring she loved her flowers, especially her daffodils. In summer, she enjoyed going to the beach and collecting sharks teeth and walking along the shore. In the Fall she’d visit all of the fall festivals, burn her fall candles, watch the leaves change colors, and load up on Apple Crisp Pies. In the Winter months she liked watching the snow fall quietly outside while she worked on puzzles and sipped warm coffee and tea. That also gave her more of a reason to participate in her favorite of all past time: shopping! Jenny was a simple woman whom always put her family need’s before her own.

She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Michael; two daughters, Michaela Flanagan and Candace Mickler (Barry); son, Christopher Fox; three sisters, Pamela West, Sandra Jacobs (Kenny), and Tricia Smith; her only and favorite grandchild, Elle Mickler; as well as the family pet, Kacie.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation for Jennifer will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32223. A celebration of life will occur on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
