

5th, 2012. She was born November 25th, 1946 in Cannelton, West Virginia,
She truly walked the walk of a Christian; she was kind and generous,
never talking bad about anyone. She spread peace and love to all those who
were blessed to know her. She was a teacher both in the Duval County School
System and at her church. She was also a caregiver and homemaker. She was a
long time member of Wesconnett Assembly of God, and touched many hearts &
lives teaching Sunday school and Children's Church. She also sang in the
Church Choir for many years & held Women’s' Bible Studies in her home.
Jeannean is survived by her husband, Stephen Collins, 3 sons; Kenneth
Thompson; Demetrio Thompson (Lisa); and Martin Thompson (Christine), 9 Grand
Children and her sister Sherry Mattingly (Joe). She also has many
additional family and friends who love her and will miss her terribly.
She is proceeded in death by her mother, Sheila Waller and Sister; Beverly
Degree.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in the chapel at Hardage-Giddens, The Oaklawn Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, THE OAKLAWN CHAPEL, 4801 San Jose Boulevard is serving the family.
