Jeanette "Jan" Looney

Jeanette "Jan" Looney was a caring and devoted mother, Grammie, sister, and friend to many. She left this world suddenly on March 13, 2024 at the age of 67. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewayne Looney; mother, Lillian Coleman; father, Edward Coleman; and grandson, Logan.

Jan is survived by her daughters, Donnell Gardner (Patrick) and Carrie Manning (Terry); sister, Susan Young (David); brother, Jimmy Coleman (Lynda); grandchildren Jimmie Lemmon, Joshua Garces (Amanda), Nycole Walden (Jacob), Kalieb Walden (Destiny); thirteen great-grandchildren Mikinley, Adiley, Rylan, Stella, Kaden, Wyatt, Paisley, Chandler, Penelope, JJ, Annabelle, Scarlett, and Rose.

Jan loved spending time with her family and friends and had a smile that was contagious to everyone anywhere she went. She loved to travel and make memories with her family. She also loved her church and church family at First Coast Baptist Church. She loved talking to anyone that would listen about her Lord and Savior. Her light will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A visitation for Jeanette will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A celebration of life will occur Monday, March 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM at First Coast Baptist Church, 7587 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244. A committal service will follow the celebration of life service on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
