JB Golden was a husband to Jessie Golden for 66 years, father to Debbie Golden Betz and Rhonda Golden Williams, a grandfather to Camela Williams Hodsdon, Paul Betz, and Adam Williams, and great-grandfather to Ashley and Chandler Hodsdon. He was loved by everyone who met him. He was a man of God who would do anything he could to help someone and left a special place in the hearts of everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
He spent his life serving the Lord, his family, and friends. He also served 27 years in the United States Army. He was an original Special Forces Green Beret created by President John F. Kennedy, he was in the 82nd Airborne, and he also served three tours in Vietnam, along with many other duties in the US Army. He also served in many areas of his church over the years including being a deacon.
JB or Jake as many of his family members called him, had many accomplishments in his 93 years on this earth, but his greatest accomplishment was accepting the Lord as his personal Savior when he was a young man. Even though he will be missed dearly by his family we can be comforted in knowing that he’s in Heaven with the Lord and we will see him again one day.
Matthew 25:21 (KJV) - His Lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
