Jann Angela Tipton

Jann Angela Tipton, 68, crossed into her eternal home very early Thursday, 12/30/2021 at Palagio Senior Living in Orange Park, FL. She was born at Donaldson AFB in Greenville, SC on 03/01/1953, raised in Charleston, SC, and educated at College of Charleston, where she was a Member of Tri Delta Sorority, then graduating from The University of South Carolina with BS and MPA Degrees, plus additional graduate work in the PhD Education Administration Program at USC.

Jann was a public and private school teacher, then, at the time, the youngest Elementary School Principal in SC at North Elementary in 1981-1983. After moving with her husband, Gary, to Atlanta, Jann worked a number of years in Tech and Technology Training, sales support, and marketing to the banking industry.

Jann was of strong Christian Faith. She was Family focused, loving to do things with and for her Family, Husband Gary, son Kyle Ross of Salida, CO, and extended Family, M-I-L Frances Tipton & B-I-L Keith Tipton (Beth). Though difficult & challenging, Jann enjoyed her last trip this past summer to the big skys & open mountains of Montana.

Nearly 13 years ago, Jann suffered a debilitating "slip & fall" on ice, resulting in a badly damaged knee & leg, MANY multiple other falls & breaks, surgeries, physical therapy, but never any true recoveries. Over time, it took the ultimate toll. Her Family is comforted knowing she is now at peace and without the pain, the orthopedic issues & limitations, and suffering that she endured with grace and composure throughout that long tortuous journey. We hope she is already outfitted with angel wings to fly around, free as a bird!
