Janice was a very kind and gentle person who loved her children and grandchildren very much.
She retired from Bellsouth in 2006 after 28 years of faithful service and moved from Jacksonville to Keystone Heights and built her dream home, enjoyed her grandchildren and wrote poems about her experiences in the 62 years of her life.
She was predeceased by her father Thomas Sheppard Rushing, mother Christeena Altman Rushing, brothers Thomas Lamar Rushing and Michael Leroy Rushing.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years Frank Michael Williams, three children Francine McFarland (John), Jason Shelby Williams (Tracie) and Micah Johnathon Williams (Lita), four grandchildren Ethan Michael McFarland, Emily Reagan McFarland, John Henry McFarland Jr., Levi Grant McFarland and one on the way she never knew about. Three brothers Roger (Tallie), Alvin (Heidi) and Edwin (Cathy) Rushing. Two sisters, Ludie Hallicy (Kenneth) and Eileen Mencner (Bill), sisters-in-law Laura and Mary Ann Rushing .
Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews Tim, Ashley, Phillip Rushing, Bobby Mencner, Jennifer Garrett and William Hallicy.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. with Reverend Ray Mayfield officiating. The family will receive friends, Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park. There will be a life celebration following the graveside services.
