Janet was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, but lived in Jacksonville with her husband and family since 1957. Janet worked for the Duval County School System from 1965 to 1996. She was a school clerk and later a supervisor in the Accounting Department. Janet enjoyed RVing, fishing and country western dancing with her husband and family.
She is survived by her husband Joseph, son Randy, and grandchildren Starla and Joey.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32225. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
