Jane R. Murray, 96, passed away peacefully October 31, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL with family by her side. Jane was born on October 12, 1919 in Mulberry, Indiana to parents Dr. David C. Rutan and Luelle Hallinan. She lived in Portchester, NY before moving to Bloomfield, NJ where she lived for over 60 years. Jane was the wife of the late Francis X. Murray, SR. Together they owned and operated the John J. Murray and Brother Fuel Company. Jane also worked as a licensed real estate broker and legal secretary. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield, NJ where she was active in Rosary Society, Parish Council, and First Cana and Pre-Cana Group. Jane was dedicated to her community, serving as a teacher at the St. Peter Claver Mission in Montclair, NJ, an American Red Cross volunteer during World War II, and a hospice volunteer. Jane earned a degree from Montclair State College in 1985. She relocated to Jacksonville, FL in 1997 where she became a member of the San Juan Del Rio church. She enjoyed spending time with the Fifty-Fifty Club and the Red Hat Society. Jane was preceded in death by her children Paul, Francis, David, and Jane. She is survived by daughters Mary Bodniowycz (husband George) and Patricia Smith (husband Michael) as well as 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2nd with a Vigil Prayer at 7:00 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3rd in San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1718 State Road 13, North, St. Johns , with Father Bart Gadaj as Celebrant.
