Jane Mary Rossington Chason, age 64, passed away unexpectedly with her loving family surrounding her on September 7, 2018. Jane was born on October 17, 1953 in Jacksonville, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents John Robert Rossington and Margaret Berneice McGraw Rossington. Jane is survived by her loving husband, Russell William Chason “Rusty”; daughters, Jennifer Jayne Everett and Heather Margaret Gidcumb; grandsons, Bradley Chason Gidcumb “Chase” and Cole Michael Gidcumb; granddaughters. Aniston Jane Everett and Chloe Ann Gidcumb; sisters, Carole Diane Coleman (Ronald) and Nancy Rossington Riggs; brother, Gary Robert Rossington (Dale Krantz); sister-in-law, Rebecca Westberry (Lamar); cousin, Patsy Lutton (J.D.); four nephews; three nieces; six great nephews; four great nieces; one great-great nephew; and several lifelong friends.
Jane was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved angels. You could find an angel in every corner of her house and all around the yard. She loved taking care of all of the plants and flowers in her yard. Jane and Rusty owned a successful construction company together for over 35 years. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church and an avid supporter of Catholic Charities. She was a blessing to all who knew her and will be truly missed.
A viewing will be held at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 12 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
