He was in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and married Ruth E. (Ganey) Rhoden on June 5, 1948. Jamie was a minister for over forty years for Marietta Church of Christ. He enjoyed woodworking, horses and especially his family.
He is survived by wife of almost 75 years, Ruth Rhoden; daughters, Linda Lott, Patricia Frazier (Steve) and Joan Nipper (Leamon); son Danny Rhoden (Becky) and Timothy Rhoden (Carla); and brother, Elijah Rhoden (Virginia); 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Eddie Bryan Rhoden and Lillie Mae Rhoden; brothers, Ray Rhoden and Billy Rhoden; sisters, Lois Barber and Alice Berry; and great-grandson Connor Bennett.

A graveside service for Jamie will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
