

CROWTHER Jamie F. Crowther Grand Adah Jamie was born in Jacksonville on April 8, 1959 and died September 15, 2012. She was initiated into Riverside Assembly No. 72, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls at the age of twelve. She served in several appointed positions as well as being elected Worthy Advisor. Her interest in Rainbow was sparked by the influence of her sister, Jenny and her daddy, Most Worshipful J. Roy Crowther, Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Florida. In December of 1977 she was initiated into Riverside Chapter No. 218, Order Of the Eastern Star. She served Riverside Chapter in many capacities. Jamie served as its Worthy Matron in 1996-97. She was elected Treasurer of Riverside in 1998 and served in that capacity through 2011. During her OES career, she held numerous Grand Chapter appointments including Grand Representative to Kentucky in Florida and Grand Instructor. In 2012 she was appointed Grand Adah by Harriette Peoples, Worthy Grand Matron. Jamie proudly represented Riverside Chapter No. 218 and the Grand Chapter of Florida. Jamie worked for Florida Blue in the Corporate Cash Receipt Dept since 1981. She is survived by her father, James Roy Crowther; her sister Jenny Chandler; her nieces, Brooke Gildea, Kristen Chandler, Jenna Chandler and Kiki Chandler. Her nephew Austin Chandler and her great nephews Cayden Chandler and Patrick Gildea- who all loved her very much. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday September 19th from 5-8P.M. and again on Thursday from 9-11A.M at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel 729.Edgewood Avenue South Jacksonville, FL 32205. A graveside service will be Thursday September 20, 2012 at 11:30 at Oaklawn Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Ricky Cox, Wayne Durbin, James Jones, Gene Wythe, Ron Peeples and Gene McAbee.
