James A. Voss, 83, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born August 20, 1931 to Edmund and Lathetta Voss in Somonauk, IL. James loved watching old western movies with John Wayne in them and he was an FSU fan. He supported the Morocco Shrine Temple and was a big supporter of the Children’s Cancer Society. James is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Betty, three sons Mike Voss, Pat Voss, Gary Voss and one daughter Kathy Voss-Lloyd. He is survived by one son Tim (Robin) Voss, one daughter Elizabeth Voss-Keen, two brothers Forrest (Donna) Voss, Burdette (Karen) Voss, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm in the chapel. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00am.
