James Dale Harper, Jr., 68, of Switzerland, FL passed away on June 5, 2014. He was born in Long Branch, NJ to the late James and Eileen Harper. Jim served in the US Navy as a Seabee and was a residential contractor in the Jacksonville area for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and involved with many of their ministries. He is survived by wife, Emily Ricketts Harper; children, Shaun (Ashley), Kristen (Doug), Vickie (Curtis), and Robby (Nicholl); grandchildren, Justin, Bryant, and Emily; brothers, Doug, Kevin, Bryan, and John; sister, JoAnn; along with many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11th with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Sanctuary of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11730 Old St Augustine Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32258 . Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12th in the Main Sanctuary of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, 4214 Loretto Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32258. Memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s name to the Divine Mercy House, 4118 Loretto Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32223.
