James “Jim” Dugan passed away on May 31, 2024 at the age of 87. Jim served honorably in the 101st Airborne Division and later retired from Prudential Life Insurance Company. He enjoyed gardening, working on puzzles, and birdwatching.
Jim was preceded in death by his son Christopher “Luke” Dugan, brothers Thomas Dugan and John Dugan, sisters Margaret and Mary and his soulmate Jackie Dugan.
He is survived by his son James E. Dugan II and wife Jamie, granddaughter Tiffany Starr, grandson John-Michael Williams great-grandchildren Colleen Starr, Christopher Starr, Dixie Starr, Ava Starr, and James Starr and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Mandarin Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223 on Thursday, June 6th at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery. The service at the cemetery will be livestreamed:
