James A. Crews

James A. Crews, age 83, of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully on January 24, 2021. James was a retired truck driver. He was born in Charlton County, GA on November 18, 1937 to the late Fell and Ola Irene Crews.

James married the late Eula Mae Crews on September 5, 1964 and celebrated 54 years of marriage. James had 5 children. The late Julie Ann, Michael Crews, the late Mark Crews, Marcia (Floyd) Howell and James Daniel Crews. He was the proud grandfather to Michelle (David) Stearns, April (Roy) Waters, Kevin Howell, James Lee Crews, Chelsea Yarbrough and Mark Crews. He also celebrated being the great-grandfather to 12 of his great-grandkids.

James was preceded in death by his parents Fell and Ola Crews; daughter Julie Ann Crews; son Mark Crews; and wife Eula Mae Crews.

Survivors include brother Ted (Margie) Crews; sister Christine (Late Lesley) Lee; daughter Marcia (Floyd) Howell; sons Michael Crews and James Daniel Crews; along with many other close relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Pastor Jim Clendenen and Ted Crews serving as officiants. Visitation will be one hour prior at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at Riverside Memorial Park.
