James "Jim" Michael Cady

James “Jim” Michael Cady, age 72, of Hobe Sound, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 with his loving wife, Rosemarie, and daughter, Candice, by his side. Jim fought a short, but hard battle of metastatic esophageal cancer. Born on December 14, 1950 in Poughkeepsie, NY, Jim was the son of Harry R. Cady, Jr. and Pauline O’Dell. Jim met the love of his life in 1988, and they married 10 years later in July, 1998. Together they have three beautiful daughters Donielle, Candice, and Jamie and three beautiful granddaughters Brielle, Kayley, and Kyndal, and one handsome grandson, Wesley. Jim’s grandchildren meant the world to him. He enjoyed travel with his wife, family and friends, and cruising his wife and friends as the “Flintstones and Rubbles”. Jim was proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and was a disabled veteran of the Vietnam War.

Jim is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; his daughters Donielle, Candice, and Jamie; granddaughters Brielle, Kayley, and Kyndal; and grandson, Wesley.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the K9 for Warriors project in memory of Jim.
