She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church. In her pastime, she enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, cooking, and fishing. Jackie was graduate of Andrew Jackson High School class of 1958. She was lead bookkeeper for Jax Marine Supply for 40 years and later went on to work for the City of Jacksonville Tax Collector’s Office, where she met new friends and later retired.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Alonzo Lloyd “Lonnie” Tate and her middle sister, Geraldine Patricia “Patsy” Fulmer.
Jackie leaves behind her two children, Tony Butler (Camille J. Butler), and Teri Moore Pollard (Joe Smith); two step-children, Robin Tate and Patti Fulda; her sister, Peggy Farling (Virgil Farling); three grandchildren; Devin Pollard, Stacey Butler-Rowe (Seth Rowe, Sr.), Wayne Butler (Rachell Cameron); three great-grandchildren; Seth Rowe, Jr, Arman Butler, and Evan Bukowski; niece, Shannon Farling-Scott (Matthew Scott) and nephews, Shad Farling (Mika Farling) and Clay Sharp and several cousins and certainly her friends.
The family will receive friends on August 25, 2021, from 10 AM - Noon, prior to funeral services @ Noon. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home. Entombment will follow, across the street at Riverside Memorial Park. Reception immediately following at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home Bistro.
