1st Class Master Sargeant Henry Wilson Swilley on Monday, April 8, 2013 the Angles sang and Heaven’s gate opened to receive one of God’s most beloved children. It gives the family comfort to know that he is now in the arms of the ultimate Healer. He is reunited with the Love of His Life Margaret Swilley of (63 years) in Heaven forever. He leaves his most loved and cherished nieces; Joyce McDonald (Jerry), Janice Perry, and Esther Meaders (Jerry), host of other family members and many friends. Henry is preceded by his parents; Ida Joanna King and John Henry Swilley, 1 sister, and 7 brothers. He also leaves to mourn a niece; Joanna Swilley, nephews; Mason Swilley and Alvin Swilley and their families. Henry was born in Tampa, Florida and residing until joining the United States Army, Merchant Marines and the Air National Guard. He retired in 1970 from the City of Jacksonville Motor Pool. He is a member of West Meadows Baptist Church, Watch & Clock Club “NAWCC”, and American Legion Post 137. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax. FL 32205. The celebration of Henry’s life will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm. A private interment is to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
