Henry F. Pearson

Henry F. Pearson, 92, passed away August 6, 2014. Henry was born May 25, 1922 in Reidsville, Ga., and has resided in Jacksonville, Fl. for the last 68 years. Henry was in the U.S Army and served in WWII, where he earned a bronze star and purple heart, then served in the Korean War. For over 50 years, Mr. Pearson has been a Master Mason with Ezra Lodge as well as a member of Fort Caroline Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Naomi Pearson, sons, Charles H. Pearson Sr. (Patricia) and L. Chris Pearson (Kathy) of Jacksonville, Fl, sister, Jimmie Lee Greene (Ralph) of Crescent City, Fl., 4 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held August 11, 2014 from 10-11am at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home 4315 N. Main Street Jacksonville, Fl 32206 with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00am. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in his name to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or the building fund at Fort Caroline Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Main Street Chapel of Haradge-Giddens Funeral Home.
