Not a day goes by, that you aren't thought about, missed a ton, and loved so much. What I would give to be able to give you one more hug or see your face, just one more time.. Miss you so much Nana!

I had hoped this was all just a bad dream. You are the rock of this family and already deeply missed. I will forever hold our memories together in my heart. From being your little crafty side kick, and hanging out with you at Joann's, to spending summer breaks with you and swimming, to vacations and cruises together. (I will definitely never forget the one and only time I saw you sipping on a margarita!) We had the pleasure of having you with us for many years. You have definitely left your mark in the world and will never be forgotten. I know you are  having a ball in Heaven, reunited with Pop and your boys. Now is your time to relax and sip another margarita! I love you and miss you so much Nana.

Going to miss this wonderful lady and my "mail box" buddy - always had great chats meeting to check the mail.  We have a precious gift to pass on to our granddaughter - her beautiful (what we call the Christmas House) that she made - a little mini house with all the decos and lights. What do you say about a woman who faced a lot of adversity in her life.She was the strongest woman I have ever crossed paths with.  She married my Uncle,a young service man,and they had 6 children. She traveled across the U.S. with 6 kids in tow,and most of the time she did this alone as Uncle was on ship.She has endured the loss of two children,a pain no parent should ever encounter once let alone twice. She cared selfishly for my Uncle when he became sick and  when her mother could no longer care for herself, she took her in and cared for her,all the time staying true to herself.  Thru all of this, I don't think I ever heard her complain once. She was a great mother,grandmother and a wonderful great grandmother.  Her family always came first in her book.
She loved to travel,especially those cruises she took in later years with her daughter Carol.  I will always love and admire this woman, she was the quintessential matriarch of the Guerin family.  Rest in peace sweet Helen,surely your work on earth was done with great grace and with a lot of love.  I will miss you dearly.

It would take a million pages and another lifetime to put into words the memories I have of my Nana. Growing up with her in my home made it seem as though I had two moms. Nana being the harder of the two! There wasn't much that got passed her. ( I guess after her raising 6 kids, I  was no match.),Nana made sure we had dinner cooked and served every night, clothes washed and clean, floors vacuumed, and mopped, and a good wholesome environment in general. There was nothing lacking on any level as far as needs were concerned. I remember being out with her when I was young and asking for McDonalds, she would oblige and pull through the drive thru. I would say," I want a plain cheeseburger,fries, and a coke" oh no! Nana would said,' you can have the burger the way it comes, and we have drinks at home." to that I said,' then never mind I want nothing''.( hoping I would get my way) Nana simply said" okay then" As we drove away with nothing. I recently mentioned this to her and her reply was, 'Well you're still alive arent you?'' Yes Nana, I am still alive. And nothing you did was as horrible as it seemed at the moment. Nana had so many beautiful virtues, that so many people have lost, or just just don't possess naturally. She never forgot to make you feel important on any holiday, by sending a card with a couple of dollars.Or calling to remind me of something I was supposed to do that she knew I would forget. She wasn't afraid to let me know when I was wrong on any topic. She had an answer for every question, whether it be, spelling a word, a math problem,a recipe , a location, anything I could possibly think to ask, she knew.She was good at everything she did, and I loved the blankets she made. I loved the costumes she made for Halloween .She stepped up to bat, at every opportunity for help. She did countless things for my kids and I. She showed me what love, forgiveness,and patience is. My last words to nana were, "I love you! You are the best of the best!" Nana, I've only just experienced your death, I don't know how I will go about experiencing it permanently, but that's a choice, I have no control over. Thank you for loving me, and my kids unconditionally, Thank you for everything! Thank you! Thank You! I will always be your crazy granddaughter!! Love, Erica. <3
