Harold “Lamar” Williams, Jr. was born March 14, 1950 in Columbus, GA to the late Harold and Laura Williams. He graduated from Hardaway High School in 1968 and St. Francis School of Radiology in 1970 both in Columbus, GA. Lamar worked as a Radiology Technician in Jacksonville for 35 years, including time at Methodist Medical and Baptist Medical Beaches.
Surviving are his daughter, MiLaura Williams of Jacksonville, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Harold “Lamar” Williams, III and Sarah Lynne Howie (and grandbaby due in May) of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Mary Jean “Jeanie” and Alexander Camacho of Phil Campbell, AL, sisters Bettie Roof of Sharpsburg, GA, Libby Robinson of Hapeville, GA, Candas Gaspard of Magnolia, TX and brother Burton Williams of Phenix City, AL.
Lamar was an avid hunter and fisherman and University of Georgia football fan. Big Lamar coached Little Lamar and MiLaura through many years of baseball and softball and he loved his dogs Scotty and Nicki. Recently, he enjoyed hanging out “in the country” in Phil Campbell, AL with sister and brother-in-law, and trips to Greenville, SC to visit his son and daughter-in-law.

Funeral service will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, March 29, 2013 in the chapel at Oaklawn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, THE OAKLAWN CHAPEL, 4801 San Jose Boulevard is serving the family.
