Gwendolyn was a wife, a mother, and loved being “nana” to her grandsons. She was a member of Rise Church and spent many years as an employee of Assumption Catholic School. She loved Jesus, her family, dog, and grand-dog very much. She enjoyed spending time in her backyard feeding the birds, watching butterflies, and looking at her garden. In her free time, she enjoyed making body butters, watching her soap operas, and listening to worship music.
She is predeceased by her father Roy Waters Sr. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Saunders Jr.; daughters, Heather Saunders and Brittany Saunders; grandchildren, Dylan Saunders and Joshua Saunders; mother, Rosalee Blair; and brothers Roy Waters Jr. and Mitch Waters.
The Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 24th with visitation one hour prior to service in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Pastor Adam Peterson, as Officiant, followed by interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL.
