Glinda L. Jones

Glinda Jones, age 69, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on March 28, 2023. She was born in Starke, FL on January 23, 1954 to Willie Mae Williams. After getting her high school diploma, she attended Florida Community College of Jacksonville.

She had a varied career in a number of jobs, which include Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Environmental Services for 10 years and retired from Baptist Medical Center after a 20 years career as an Environmental Service Manager. She always enjoyed fishing, baking, cooking, listening to music, watching the Jaguars play on Sundays and especially spending time with her family.

Survived by her significant other for 20 years, Washington McFarland, III; daughter, Valerie Bowman; son-in-law, Larry Bowman, Jr. granddaughters, Samiyah Collins, Dallas Bowman and Jessi Bowman; grandson, Larry Bowman, III; sisters, Mary Williams, Ann Williams and Colette Williams; brother, Morris Williams; and 11 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by mother, Willie Mae Williams; sister, Nora Mae Williams; son, Jimmy Lee Sinclair, Jr. and daughter, Venus Denise Jordan,

A memorial service for Glinda will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
