

Glen Charles Miller, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on August 21, 2021, from complications associated with Parkinson’s Disease. Glen is survived by his beloved wife, Jean of 38 years; daughters Denise Starn and Mary Ellen (Paul) Hathaway; grandchildren Jeffrey Gray Jr., Brittany (James) Ford, Mitzi (Kris) Grim, and Shelby Hathaway; great-grandchildren Jayden Ford, Jace Ford, Jeffrey Gray, III, Makaela Grim, and Kamryn Grim; his siblings Vetta Whitt, Edward (Carol) Bennett, Jennifer Reardon, Gayla Bennett, and Charles Bennett; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Miller and Lola Bennett; and faithful companion, Sugar. He was predeceased by brothers Earl Miller and John Bennett.
Glen was born on January 15, 1945, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Evelyn and Glen Miller, Sr. He attended
Technical High School and later studied Engineering at East Carolina University. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on April 4, 1962, and served in the Vietnam War; he retired in 1981 with the rank of Master Sergeant.
Following retirement from active duty, he worked for U.S. Civil Service for 25 years before retiring from the
workforce. In his retirement years, he enjoyed traveling with Jean and spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11 am at Crossroads Church, 10005 Gate Parkway North, Jacksonville, Florida.
