Gladys Irene Pruett

Gladys Irene Pruett, age 74 of Jacksonville Florida went home to be with the Lord and to be with her husband on October 5th, 2013. She was born in Coleman County Texas. She has lived in Jacksonville since 1970. Gladys was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a wife, homemaker, avid hunter, and business owner with her husband and son on the Northside (S & W Muffler). She was married to Paul Pruett for 52 years. She is a cancer survivor, after having fought it for two years. She was cancer free for two years. She loved to watch and feed the Canadian geese. She loved spending time with her family, and seeing her grand and great grand children. She has four children Christine Pruett, Debra McManus, Bobby Pruett, and Linda Pruett (Fiancé Eli Overy). By Bobby Pruett: Destiny Rodriquez Pruett. By Linda Pruett: Dillon Wells. She has fourteen great grand children. Dalton Levy, Steven Jorzyk Jr., Skylar & Starla Chadwick, Little Rickey, Alexis, Lauren, and Adison Bomar, Parker Robinson & Sawyer Kelly, Arianna Crespo, Jayden McManus, Zoe and soon to be Ava Black. As well, Mrs. Pruett has three brothers, Vernan Moore & Roy Dean Moore (Sister-in law, Shara Moore), and Deceased James Moore. She has two sisters Mearl Holt & Doris Simmons, all residing in Texas. There are many extended family members in Texas as well. Memorial Service will be Sunday, October 13th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida. Family will receive friends 30 Minutes prior to services. Gladys will be laid to rest with her husband at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Lannie Road (at a later date).
