Gertrudis was born in Pozzorubio, Pangasinan, Philippines, to proud parents, Sylvestre and Gregoria Ritualo on December 28, 1937.
After high school, she proceeded to become a successful and professional midwife and delivered countless babies for twenty five years in Mankayan and neighboring villages in the scenic mountains of Benguet. It was here that she met her husband, Jesus Dasalla, and raised their family. She and her husband came to the United States in 2000.
Gertrudis died on April 27, 2015 and is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jesus Dasalla; her son, Jem, his wife Melissa and their children Nicole and Germel; her daughter, Grace, her husband Roy, and their children Gerard and Royette; and another daughter Glenda, her husband Anselmo and their children Kate and Anna; her sister Bendice; and nephews and nieces.
