Gerald C. Huber

HUBER Gerald C. Huber (Jerry) passed away on May 3, 2011, after a brief illness with cancer. Jerry was born November 6, 1935. He was a graduate of the University of South Dakota and worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 40 years. He is survived by the love of his life for 35 years, Patricia A. Huber (Patty), his daughter, Carla J. Dixon (Pete), his sisters-in-law, Linda J. Sudbury (Gene) and Betty Tittle (Tommy), and his many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Jerry is preceded in death by his mother and father, Louis and Lillian Huber of Herreid South Dakota. He was a devoted friend and will always be remembered for his devotion to his wife and daughter, his love of fishing, and the love he had for his two faithful schnauzers, Snickers and Kaiser. Visitation will be held at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin from 6:00pm to 8:00pm TODAY, Thursday May 5, 2011. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at 3:00 pm on Friday May 6, 2011 in St. Joseph's Historic Catholic Church, 4214 Loretto Rd, Jacksonville FL 32258. Following the memorial service, Jerry will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered by his immediate family at his favorite fishing hole. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Earl B. Hadlow Community Hospice of Northeast Florida on 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
