Gene L. Aspinwall

He was a Senior Chief in the United States Navy serving 30 years to a country that he loved. Gene served honorable and faithfully at 15 Commands over the span of his 30 years of service earning the following awards; American Theater Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, China Service Medal, Navy Occupation Medal, National Defense Service Medal (Second Award), Korean Service Medal, United Nations Medal, Philippines Liberation Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, and Good Conduct Awards (7 Awards).

Gene is preceded in death by wife Elizabeth Aspinwall.

Survivors include his five children, Janice Aspinwall Campbell (Vince) of Jacksonville, Fl; Gene Aspinwall (Barbara) of Jacksonville, FL; Mary Aspinwall Otto (Scott) of Middleburg FL; Robert Aspinwall (Traci) of Jacksonville, FL; Richard Aspinwall (Michelle) of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Jane Brown of Orange Park, FL; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Gene will be held Monday, December 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM and committal service 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
