Gary Edward Causey was born to Wilbur Edward Causey and Evelyn Allie Causey on October 1, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Ribault High School in Jacksonville, where he was a star punter and kicker on the football team. He still holds the record for the longest punt in Ribault High School history. Gary’s great grandfather, Robert Lee Causey, was named after General Robert E. Lee as was Gary (Edward). He owned and managed C & C Bulk Liquid Transfer, Inc., for 30 years. His integrity as a business man was highly respected! He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He won numerous awards through the years. He was a dedicated Christian and loved the Lord. He will be long remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Causey, his sons Brad Causey (Jennifer) and Casey Causey (Leia), 7 grandchildren and his brother D. Lee Causey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert W. Causey and wife Connie Dee Causey. A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be held Wednesday, July 24 at 3:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
