Frederick William Kriete Jr. (Fred) Born 12/26/1949 Brooklyn NY. Passed 04/10/2025. Fred is a Vietnam Veteran serving in the 27th Marine Corps from Jan 1967- Oct 1969 as a Corporal. Married to his love, Donna Kriete for 54 yrs. Fred was a loving Husband, Father, Papa, Great Papa and friend. When he wasn’t working as a licensed Journeyman Plumber of 50 yrs, he took to his love for the ocean, scuba diving for lobster and red snapper. Fred also had a love for woodworking making furniture, knife making, cane syrup boiling, butchering/processing meat with friends and family.

Frederick (Fred) is survived by his wife Donna Kriete. Children Richard Kriete (Sherry), Dana Taylor (Nicholas). Grandchildren Kody Puckett (Alyssa), Kyle Kriete (Soumaya), Kailyn McCoy (Silas), Makenzie Ellis (Parker), Harlee Cochrane (Grant), Haley Taylor (Michael). Great Grandchildren Korbin Puckett. Kayden Puckett and Baby Ellis. Pall Bearers Richard Kriete, Nicholas Taylor, Kody Puckett, Kyle Kriete, Amos Gainey, Wayne Spencer, Gary McMahon, and John Rowe.

A visitation for Frederick will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. A committal service and military honors will be rendered at 2:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Please use Lane 1 at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
